Queen Latifah To Be Inducted In NJ Hall of Fame This June
Rap star Queen Latifah is among the famous people who will be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame this June.
Latifah joins an all-star lineup of stars who hail from the Garden State who will be honored during a ceremony that will take place in downtown Newark, New Jersey.
In addition to Latifah, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced 12 other nominees will be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame during a press conference held in the state's capital of Trenton.
John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Mary Higgins Clark, Leon Hess, Joe Theisman, singer Tony Bennett, Franco Harris, Martha Stewart and others are among this year's 13 nominees.
Queen Latifah is a Grammy Award winning actress, who has starred in movies like The Secret Life of Bees, Hairspray, the Broadway play Chicago and the hit TV series, "Living Single."
Queen Latifah, who was born Dana Owens in Newark, has also been nominated for an Emmy and Academy Award.
The New Jersey Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place June 5th at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
