Eminem becomes the most 'liked' living artist on Facebook

The hip-hop artist has passed Lady Gaga to become the most "liked" living artist on the site, with 28,883,000 "likes" as opposed to Gaga's measly 28,872,000.

Famecount.com, which generates statistics for Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, says Eminem currently gets about 500,000 "likes" a day. If the trend continues, he could surpass the most "liked" artist ever: Michael Jackson.

Earlier in the week, Eminem broke virtual history on YouTube.com by becoming the first hip-hop artist to score one billion hits.

His 28 official promos, including "Not Afraid" and" Love The Way You Lie," have proved to be hugely popular with fans on the video-sharing site, and on Monday, Eminem became only the third musician to achieve the massive feat.

The only other stars who can lay claim to the honor are Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber -- the teenager remains the all-time most-viewed artist on YouTube.com with 1.3 billion views.

Diddy Makes History As One of the Top Minority Owned Businesses

Sean "Diddy" Combs is celebrating Black History Month by making some of his own, as the Hip-Hop mogul was recently named one of the largest minority-owned business in New York.

Combs' Bad Boy Worldwide Entertainment Group is the third largest minority-owned business in the state, Crain's New York Business recently revealed.

The mogul is involved in a wide range of business activity, from music publishing, artist management and TV and film production, to apparel (Sean John) and restaurants.

"It is an incredible honor to be included among the top three minority owned companies in New York City time and time again," Combs told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "Hard work, determination and an unfettered desire to succeed helped me build this company to what it is today."

Diddy, who's businesses rake in over $300,000 million annual, said that his biggest goal was to continue to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs to follow their dreams.

"I hope to serve as an example and inspire anyone with a dream to dream bigger and know that they can achieve their goals," said Diddy, who will be honored this weekend by hundreds of executives in Los Angeles during Grammy Weekend.

Production On Tupac Film To Begin This Spring

Production company Morgan Creek announced that the new Tupacbiopic is scheduled to begin principal photography in the late spring and early summer with director Antoine Fuqua.

The Tupac film, which will be shot in Los Angeles, New York, Georgia and Las Vegas, chronicles the life and legacy of Tupac.

While the cast is still being developed, James G. Robinson, David Robinson and LT Hutton have already been announced as producers of the film.

The film has also received the blessings of Tupac’s mother, Afeni Shakur-Davis, who will also partake in the film's production as executive producer.

“I am confident that Morgan Creek will stay true to the common goal we share of depicting Tupac’s life in a way that will allow the world to see the authenticity of his artistry, his hopes and his life goals,” Afeni Shakur said in a statement about the film.

The production will showcase his meteoric rise to stardom as a musician and an actor, while also showcasing some of his moments in prison, and the controversial time at Death Row Records.

"I am honored to be part of the process that is bringing his life and legacy to the big screen," LT Hutton added. "I am thankful to Afeni Shakur for giving this project her blessing and to Morgan Creek for giving it the green light."

Universal Pictures will distribute the film in North America, while Morgan Creek will co-distribute the film with Morgan Creek International overseas.
